How does MRSA Spread ?

The most common ways for MRSA to be spread are:
• by handling or squeezing an infected body area, such as a boil or open wound
• using towels, clothes or bed linen that have been used by a person with MRSA
• using personal grooming items (brushes, razors, scissors, etc) that have been used by
someone with MRSA
• inadequate personal hygiene e.g. not washing hands carefully and thoroughly
